I can report that, based upon reliable sources of information, it appears that Paul R. Warren, Esq., the Clerk of the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York, will shortly be appointed the next bankruputcy judge for the Rochester Division of the Bankruptcy Court. Mr. Warren attended the chapter 13 plan confirmation hearings last Thursday in Rochester, something he would not need to do as Court Clerk. I have received other confidential information that would colaborate this information.
According to Lawyers.com, Mr. Warren received his undergraduate degree from St. John Fisher College and his law degree from the University of Dayton. He was admitted to practice in the Western District of New York (among other places) in 1984. Mr. Warren and I, along with a third person (Renee Davidson) were all appointed Chapter 7 panal trustees at the same time in 1994. Mr. Warren was then working for the Law Firm of Boylan Brown (now Boylan, Code.) A few years later, he was appointed the Clerk of the Bankruptcy Court. Based in Rochester, Mr. Warren has split his time working in the Rochester and Buffalo offices of the Clerk’s office.
